Mr. Woods was born in Washington DC, and has lived the majority of his life in Maryland. He is married and the couple has two children.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Carson-Newman University in 1985. Thereafter, he graduated magna cum laude from the Master of Arts Degree Program in Community Counseling, University of Maryland at College Park. He has practiced at the current Upper Marlboro location for over 30 years. Mr. Woods holds licensure with the State of Maryland as a "Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor", and is also certified as a Nationally Certified Counselor, and Clinically Certified Forensic Counselor.
Mr. Woods is a professional member of the American Mental Health Counselors Association, as well as other professional organizations.
Mr. Woods has led workshops and seminars on Active Parenting, Suicide Prevention, Issues concerning Addictions and Faith, as well as Depression.
